What is canyoning Malaga, Cadiz

It is about looking for those narrows of andalusian rivers where the riverbed decreases step by step.

Our progression will change depending of the route point where we are. Then, for long time, our sport capacity will work against loose rocks, messy blocks o just walking through rocky footpaths. When the river deep is good enough, it will be time to swim, but it is necessary to do it appropiately in this environment. For this reason, the instructors will be there to help us to do so. However, at times we will find some waterfalls over a deep pond. So, instructors, who are really good ground experts, will tell us when is posible to jump into the ponds, or go down sliding, or use a rappel rope. All three options are really funny!

What it is really good in Malaga’s canyoning it is they are really diverse. Some of them are dry in summer but it does not mean they are less funny than we can expect, like Garganta Verde in Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema. Another are located in river flow courses, like Río Grande in Parque Natural Sierra de las Nieves, and others are known because of their long calming ponds, like Cañón de las Buitreras in Parque Natural de los Alcornocales. Just imagine how beautiful these places are that many of them are protected. And there are lots more!
